The use of essential oils can be traced back to ancient Greece, but research in this area has long been slow. Now a number of scientific studies indicate, however, that aromatherapy can have a measurable effect on our health and our capacity.
How peppermint aroma affects our concentration and memory capacity has been studied by Moss and co-workers at the Northumbria University in the UK.
The results show significant differences between the group tested in a peppermint-scented environment and the other control groups. Those who were exposed to peppermint also stated that they felt much more energetic and more alert than the other participants in the study.
– Our results suggest that essential oils can have a significant impact on human well-being and behavior, the British research group states in the International Journal of Neuroscience.
In other words, a morning sauna with a minty scent to it provides a good foundation for a productive work day. Tyler carries a whole range of essential oils, each and every one with they own, specific effects and advantages. All you need to do is to put a few drops in the water that you splash on the hot sauna rocks, and immediately the sauna will be filled with aromatic steam. Peppermint as well as bergamott are scents well known for sharpening the senses and raising the energy level. Lemon, grapefruit and eucalyptus are other scents known to be refreshing and revitalizing. Fruity and fresh, they all work wonders in the morning sauna.
