When a busy, professional photographer invited Helo to fit his sauna, the challenge was to meet two distinct requirements: provide an exciting backdrop for atmospheric images and a smart, working sauna to complement the on- site dance studio.
Sited in a traditional basement it was important to create a built in design which would blend with the painted brickwork and work as a natural extension to the overall space. Warm Red Cedar panelling, subtle mood lighting and a bespoke glazed fascia were used – the result… a beautiful cabin, light and airy for great images yet ideal as a warm and inviting place where dancers can relax and socialise after an energetic workout!
The sauna cabin was fully bespoke designed and built to fit an existing basement space. This allowed a seamless finish for the client, which was essential for the visual appearance of the sauna and for use as a photography set.
A purpose built all glazed fascia showcases the beautiful sauna interior, making the cabin feel light and spacious whilst still retaining the cosy ambience associated with sauna bathing.
The warm tones of Red Cedar wood and interesting random “striped” effect lend great character to the basement area, enhanced by discrete concealed LED back lighting .
